Contact and Race Organization

The race is organized under the banner of Tänndalens IF, led by ultrarunners
Emmy Karnerud, Johan Hartelius, and Elin Hartelius. With extensive experience in ultrarunning, especially as athletes but also as organizers, they share the ambition to create a well-organized, beautiful, and accessible race of the highest standard.

Tänndalens IF is a non-profit sports club based in Härjedalen. Any surplus from the race is reinvested in the club and used to further develop both the organization and the event itself.

Meet the race crew:

Emmy is an ultrarunner who feels most at home in the mountains and Nordic highlands—especially when the world is quiet at night. She’s completed a range of ultra races, supported both trail and timed events, and helped organize the 24-hour race Pace On Earth Invitational as well as live coverage at Kullamannen. As a leader at trail running camps in both forest and fjell, she brings warmth, experience, and a strong sense of community.

Elin loves running in the mountains, even if she often races on road and track. She’s done everything from 24-hour events to trail ultras and brings lots of ideas to the team. She also plays a key role in working with local partners in and around Tänndalen, with the goal of creating a race that people will fall in love with. While the experience should be great for all runners, she’s especially focused on building a high-level event that draws top athletes.

Johan is a trail runner at heart, with a deep love for the mountains. He’s taken on plenty of long-distance races over the years and knows what makes an event stand out. Within the team, he brings not just ultra experience but also a creative touch: helping shape the website, the visual identity, and the overall vibe. Whether it’s aid station flow or race-day energy, he’s all about the small things that make a big difference.
